

Our Story
The start
Founders Dirk Swinkels and Ilona Swinkels-Wojda started Domek in 2011 to fulfill an important need of a special target group in the Netherlands:
‘International employees, entrepreneurs and family members, mainly from Central and Eastern Europe (non-natives), need help in making important financial decisions and in finding and financing a home of their own’.
Key to success
Providing relevant information, services in the home language and access to the financial and housing market is key to success. Scaling up is a core quality of the business. The number of satisfied customers is growing rapidly each year and so is the size of the organization. There is a desire to expand services for the target market with risk management.
Expansion of services.
In 2015, services were expanded to include the insurance company Polisa. Due to the enormous growth of the portfolio, the power of attorney company Nederlandse Assuradeuren will follow in 2017. This completes all aspects for a full-service financial organization. The customer has 1 window for financial services and risk management in the customer’s language. Domek-Group is a fact.
Market leader in financial services
Domek-Group has since grown into a leading financial services provider and market leader, specializing in mortgages, insurance and related services to non-natives. Active in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. We call our office the Domek Experience, where customers are welcomed and children feel free.
With personal and digital services in 10 languages (Polish, Romanian, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Ukrainian, Spanish, Dutch, English and German) and with a team of 90 enthusiastic employees, we make a difference 7 days a week for our customers and other stakeholders!
