Our Story
The start
Founders Dirk Swinkels and Ilona Swinkels-Wojda established Domek in 2011 to address a vital need for a specific target group in the Netherlands:
“International employees, entrepreneurs, and their families—primarily from Central and Eastern Europe (non-natives) — require expert guidance in making key financial decisions and securing financing for their home ownership.”

Providing relevant information, services in the customer’s native language, and access to the financial and housing market are key to our success. Scalability is at the heart of our business. Each year, the number of satisfied customers grows rapidly, driving the continuous expansion of our organization.
Looking ahead, we aim to further enhance our services for our target market by incorporating risk management solutions, ensuring even greater financial security and peace of mind for our customers.
Expansion of services
In 2015, we expanded our services with the launch of Polisa, providing dedicated insurance solutions. As our portfolio grew rapidly, we established Nederlandse Assuradeuren in 2017 as a Managing General Agent (MGA), further strengthening our capabilities.
With this expansion, Domek-Group became a full-service financial organization, offering a single point of contact for financial services and risk management—all in the customer’s native language. Domek-Group was officially born.
